How the job tracker works

Three steps. A default board is ready the first time you open it.

  1. Add the role

    Paste the job link and company name. Everything else — location, salary, tags, the full description — is optional and can wait.

  2. Move it as it moves

    Applied on Monday, screening call on Thursday, rejected two weeks later. Drag the card across; the board keeps the history.

  3. Read the board

    Forty in applied and two in interviewing is a resume problem. Ten in interviewing and none in offer is a different problem. The columns tell you which one you have.

Is the Lampzi job tracker free?

Yes. Tracking job applications, interviews and calendar events is free with a Lampzi account. Resume generation is priced separately — the tracker is not behind that.

Do I need an account to use it?

You need a free account, because the board is yours and has to be stored against something. You can read this page, the interview tracker page and the community interview experiences without signing in.

How many applications can I track?

There is no cap on jobs or boards. Most people keep one board per search track and a few dozen live applications at a time.

Can I track applications from any job site?

Yes. A tracked job is just a company, a title and a link, so it works with LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, a company careers page, or a referral with no posting at all.

What are the job statuses?

Wishlist, applied, interviewing, offer and rejected. Wishlist is for roles you have found but not applied to yet, which is where most spreadsheets fall apart.

Who can see my board?

Only you. Boards, jobs and interviews are scoped to your account. The only thing that becomes public is an interview experience you explicitly choose to share to the community feed.
